Here are answers to our most frequently asked questions about the Members Area.

General

Can I pay the membership costs in cryptocurrency?

Yes! The Intersect member area supports payment with ADA (Cardano native token). This function is supported by the tools provided by ADA-Anvil, a member of Intersect. Read more about payment in ADA in the related FAQs section.

Upon becoming a member, will I immediately gain access to all the benefits associated with my chosen tier?

All promoted tier benefits will be valid upon membership. Some benefits, such as voting and governance participation, will be active during selected events. You will be informed when these events will be and the steps to be involved in the participation processes.

Can I apply for all eligible grants when I am a member?

Yes, you can apply for all open grants upon membership. The list of open grants can be found here.

Are there any unique benefits of the Bespoke membership package?

The bespoke package offers benefits uniquely tailored to your needs. Please contact us at members@intersectmbo.org to discuss your options.

How often are the Intersect Town Halls?

The Town Halls are held monthly on the last Tuesday of every month; you can attend or participate as an Intersect member.

Will there be any additional tier benefits added in the future?

Additional features will be added to various tiers. You will be contacted when these benefits become available.

Can I make any suggestions for improvements to the membership process?

You can make suggestions by using the feedback option in the member area. Visit the Support page to learn how.

Can I upgrade my membership at any time?

You will be able to upgrade your membership at any time.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

You can cancel your membership at any time. If you cancel during the membership period, your membership will be valid until the last date of the payment period, and you will have access to all features until then. However, the fee paid will be non-refundable after the point of purchase.

What do I do if I have additional questions?

What should you do if you lose access to the email you registered with?

If you lose access to the email you registered with, please contact us via a feedback ticket in the members area with your details so we can verify. See the support page for information on how to leave tickets. Once we have verified your profile, we can assist you with account retrieval via your alternate email address.

How do I create an account?

You will need a valid email address. Once you have registered via the membership page and verified your email address, you must choose your applicable membership tier and make payment for the selected tier if relevant. Once all is completed, your registration will be complete, and you are free to access your membership via the portal.

Can I share content from the members area on social media or other platforms?

We urge our members to promote their membership on social media, however, we urge individuals not to share exclusive member-only content on their social media channels. This content covers and is not limited to voting-related content, member-only event invitations, member-only grant-related content, etc.

Is there a community forum/place to discuss community topics?

Discord is the best way to get involved in community discussions. Here, you can meet like-minded individuals and stay informed about everything happening at Intersect. You can join our Discord here.

About payments in ADA

We are currently using Anvil to handle ada payments. Our partnership with Anvil leads on from their role as Intersect members who we have been working with to develop our ada payment flow.

How do I make payments using ada?

Select your membership tier in the members area, and go to the payment section where you can connect your wallet. Once connected, you’ll be prompted to confirm and sign the transaction. Note the final ada price will reflect the current exchange rate and include a transaction fee. Once complete, you’ll be taken back to the members area dashboard.

How are exchange rates determined?

The exchange rates for our ada payments are taken from Binance's conversion rates at the time of payment. The price you pay in ada will reflect the current exchange rate (visible in your wallet once connected).

Please note, that the conversion rate at the point of purchase may not be the exact real-time exchange rate as the exchange may have been updated at a varying frequency each time.

Is there a fee for using ada for payments?

Each transaction generated incurs a small fee paid to the network that rewards stakepool operators and delegators (ada holders).

Who can I contact if I have issues with ada payments?

For any issues with ada payments, please contact the membership team at members@intersectmbo.org and one of our team will be happy to help you with your payment issue.

Will I be able to get a refund?

No, membership dues are non-refundable and you can find more details in your membership agreement once you have joined.
