# Identity Verification

To participate in voting, members who have been part of Intersect for less than **6 months** will need to complete a **verification process**.

## Step 1: Access Verification

* Log in to your Intersect account.
* On your **dashboard**, you will see the option **“Verify Identity.”**
* Click this button to start the process.

## Step 2: Select Verification Method

You can choose between two methods of verification:

1. **Standard ID Verification**\
   Use a government-issued ID to confirm your identity through **Sumsub** our trusted KYC provider.
2. **Decentralized Identity Verification (DID)**\
   Verify your identity using our Decentralized Identity solution powered by **Socious**, an Intersect enterprise member.
